unexpected news!

So after the skate party I brought the girls home to get them to bed, and there was a message from President Johnson who is in our stake presidency asking if he could meet with us the next morning. So knowing that the 2nd councelor was AF and moving to Germany we kind of knew what was coming. So we went the next morning and sure enough Adam was asked to be the 2nd councelor to Bishop Arlie Capps. Which would also mean he would be ordained a high priest. Adam and I were both taken back a littel but felt very good about serving the Lord and know that our family will be blessed for it. So when we got home Adam called his parents and they said they would be here for his Dad to ordain him. It was so nice of them to come all the way from Kansas. The girls were so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa McKee. They flew in Sunday morning and left Tuesday morning. It was a quick but fun trip. We took them to Bridgeport and had a picnic and played in the water on Monday. Thank you for coming Grandma and Granpa McKee.

How wonderful! Adam is a really neat guy, and I can totally see him in a bishopric. Your family will be blessed to be able to handle all of the time commitments, and you guys will do awesome.

Very cool that Adam's dad was able to ordain him. I know he'll do a great job. Wasn't he secretary or something anyways? I'm sure you are used to him being gone all day sunday already! haha. So fun to see you guys this summer! Thanks for making time to visit. Love, Rebecca
